A calm place to work things through.

I’m Jordan Hale, a licensed counselor in Portland and online across Oregon. I help adults with anxiety, burnout and big life changes find steadier ground, at a pace that feels manageable.

Try it while you read: in for four, out for six.

You might be here because

You’re tired in a way that sleep doesn’t fix.

Your mind keeps running after the day is done.

Something changed, like a move, a loss or a new role, and you haven’t found your footing yet.

You keep ending up in the same arguments, just with different people.

You’re very good at looking fine.

You’ve been handling it alone, and you’d like to stop.

If some of this sounds familiar, we can talk about it. A first call doesn’t commit you to anything.

Steady, practical, on your side.

Before I became a counselor, I spent ten years in hospital administration, so I know what it’s like to hold everything together for everyone else. Now I help people put some of it down.

My sessions are calm and conversational. We’ll work on what’s happening now, look at the patterns underneath it, and leave each session with something you can actually use during the week.

How it works

  1. 1

    A free 15-minute call

We talk briefly by phone or video. You can ask anything, I’ll ask a few questions, and we’ll see if it feels right. No forms yet.

  2. 2

    Your first session

Fifty minutes to understand what brings you here and what you’d like to be different. You decide how much to share.

  3. 3

    Ongoing sessions

Most people meet weekly or every other week. We check in regularly on what’s helping and change course when something isn’t.

Fees, plainly

A limited number of sliding-scale spots start at $90. I’m out-of-network with insurance and provide a monthly superbill you can submit for possible reimbursement.

You don’t need to have the right words when you arrive. Finding them is part of the work.
