Hi, I’m Jordan.

I’m a licensed professional counselor with a quiet office in southeast Portland and a lot of patience for the parts of life that don’t fit into a neat plan.

How I got here

For ten years I worked in hospital administration. I was good at it, and I was exhausted. I noticed that the moments that mattered most weren’t the schedules or the budgets. They were the hallway conversations where someone finally said how they were really doing.

So I went back to school, earned my master’s in clinical mental health counseling, and have been in private practice since 2018. I still think a lot about those hallway conversations. Therapy, at its best, is one that you get to have on purpose.

What sessions with me are like

I’m warm, direct and practical. I’ll listen closely, ask honest questions and, when it helps, offer tools you can try between sessions. I draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches, and I adapt them to you, not the other way around.

You don’t have to arrive with a clear goal. Many people start with “I just don’t feel like myself,” and that’s a perfectly good place to begin.

The office, and the online option

My office is on the second floor of a converted house on Willow Lane, with soft light, two armchairs and good tea. It’s a five-minute walk from the number 14 bus. There’s an elevator and a single-occupancy restroom.

If coming in isn’t easy, we can meet online through a secure video platform from anywhere in Oregon.
